I have a 96 ZJ and just replaced the sway bar bushings, installed replacement end links and added my lil 2 inch pucks to the springs. I replaced the front shocks a few weeks ago. My issue is that I cannot tighten the top nut on the new end links all of the way, they just keep spinning and the nut will not tighten. I was able to get one side almost all of the way but the other just spins, even when trying to clamp down on it with another adjustable wrench. I am afraid I am going to tear the boot that is on top. Any ideas? If I cannot get it tightened I might just try to find some affordable disconnects and get rid of the factory style end links. Any help is greatly appreciated!:thumb:

Getting disco's sounds like the way to go. I'm not familiar with the setup on a ZJ, but you may be able to swap in a set of links like a XJ comes with. They don't have the ball joint at the top (I assume this is what your has) but instead use two bushings stacked on each side of the bar.

Pretty sure they are supposed to move a little to allow pivoting. Is it stripped?

The End Links are brand new and not stripped. I ended up going to the hardware store and getting new nuts instead of the crappy ones included in the End Link kit we sell:mad: After that the passenger side tightened down from altering between the one in the kit and the one I bought:thumb: The best part is that replacing the end links cleared up the nasty clunk in the front! The drivers side End Link Ball joint had gone bad and when going over large bumps it was moving up and down causing the clunk sound!

This is overlooked sometimes, is the nut and bolt the same thread count?
