yeah i think your right. Well we really jsut need the guts out of the dana 30 anyway. His exploded. Only problem is i dontknow what gears he has. Is there a way to check it against the VIN?

Can you count the teeth on the ring and pinion? If you can, just divide. Don't know about the VIN.

xj is high pinion and cj is low pinion.

The carrier will work and thats about it.

3.73 is the "break" on a D-Turdy so if its geared 4.10 you would need a 3.73+ carrier.

Maybe a YJ D-30 but It will be different width and different bolt pattern. Just find another CJ D-30 would be your best bet.

I have a cj5 dana 30 3:54 gears with carrier, again not the whole axle just the parts you might need. I had to get a new carrier to run the 3:73.
