Here's an email I got today, and I'm highly interested in attending... I'd like to get a group to convoy up there. And setup a booth for the SCC crew
--------------------------------
We're*writing to let you know that plans are well underway for the first ever Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival in Butler, Pa., birthplace of the Jeep.* The three-day event will take place August 12-14, 2011, and pre-registration is now available on our web site,*BantamJeepFestival.com.
**
We're*hoping you will share the information about the Festival with your Club, and that your Jeep-owning members might even consider coming to the Festival as part of a Club trip.* We are also offering*free booth space to all Clubs who would like to promote their organization.* On-site camping will be available and Clubs/Club members may reserve sites together.
*
We have been working hard to create an event that all Jeep owners will enjoy, including*off-roaders, historians and those who love to show off their pride and joy.* Quadratec will be supporting this event in a major way, and Rausch Creek Off Road Park will be designing and managing*the Jeep Playground.
*
Here are a few highlights of the activities we are planning:
*
August 12:
- Help us create a new Guinness Book record by participating in the longest Jeep parade and cruise in Downtown Butler. The first 500 paid registrants receive a free dash plaque.
August 13 & 14:
Festival will take place at the Butler County Fairgrounds, just west of Butler:
- Jeep Playground featuring two on-site trails and mud pit, rock crawl and much, much more!
- Off-site trail rides
- Brand new history exhibits and displays showcasing the Bantam Jeep
- WWII jeep history timeline and military encampment featuring more than 20 original jeeps from the 1940s
- Jeep Show 'N Shine
- Jeep Marketplace showcasing parts, accessories and more
- Camp Bantam Outdoor Activities
- How-To Clinics
- Entertainment
We hope you will post information on your web site and forum, discuss it at Club meetings and list it in your newsletter.* If you are unable to post this information for us, please let us know how we might be able to best communicate with your members. In addition, if this is not the best email address to use, please let us know so we can send details to the correct person. We hope to be able to provide monthly updates as we finalize additional elements so everyone can be up-to-date on our plans.*
*
If you have any questions or need additional information, you can contact us at PR@bantamjeepfestival.com. *We also can mail you copies of our promotional flyer if you would like some to distribute to your members.**
*
In addition, we*thought you'd be interested in checking out this recent story in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.* The*article was the second-most emailed story that day!
*
We hope to see you next year in Butler, where we'll make Jeep history once again!
*
Sincerely,
Bantam Jeep Heritage Festival Organizers
