Need help locating replacement pistons & rings.I just purchased a 72' 304 block .030 over with all machine work done to it. i.e. cleaned, bored, cam bearings, freeze plugs. It also came with stock rods. Heads have been worked. No pistons. I have heard you can use 290 flat tops to raise comp. ratio or sb chevy pistons. Any suggestions? New to AMC engines.

Thanks for the info finally saw a picture of early 290 pistons(no dish) will check at machine shop to see if they will work in my 304 block. Thanks again for the 38tsl's I purchased last fall if I can get this engine done may be able to wheel next spring...... If anyone else has tried this or figured out how to raise the compression on a 304 to about 9.5 to1 let me know. SKOOTER

I got master rebuild kit from PAW some years ago but they only sell early hemi parts as of 9/30/2010. Stupid dismal economy!!!!

Try RPM machine if you need anything else.
Thanks again for the springs bro.
