WORLD'S LARGEST POKER RUN
DATE: Saturday April 18th
LOCATION: The poker run will start and stop at
Salem Civic Center. Route to be announced.
TIME: Registration open at 7am. First Bike/car out at
precisely 10am. First group should back to Civic
Center by about 12:30-1:00
COST: $20.00 per vehicle / $5.00 for extra poker hands
Proceeds will benefit the Fallen Firefighters Survivors Foundation, A non-profit organization that provides immediate financial assistance to the families of fallen firefighters. Please check out their web site. www.FFSFUSA.org
For those of you who are unfamiliar with Poker Runs....first of all it is NOT gambling. By registering, you are given a sheet that you will take with you on the ride. At each stop, you will draw a card. It will be recorded on your sheet by our personnel. You will draw a total of 5 cards by the end of the ride. Upon returning to the Salem Civic Center, you will turn in your sheets and our personnel will determine the best "poker hand" and the worst "poker hand" of the day. There is no skill involved and you need not know how to play poker.
THIS POKER RUN WILL BE VALIDATED BY GUINNESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS AND GO INTO THE RECORD BOOK AS THE WORLDS LARGEST POKER RUN.
THIS RUN WILL HAPPEN AT 36 LOCATIONS IN 9 STATES ALL AT THE SAME TIME. NO OTHER POKER RUN HAS BEEN ATTEMPTED ON THIS MAGNITUDE.
THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO ALL ROAD LEGAL VEHICLES....CARS, TRUCKS, BIKES, WHATEVER. Part of this run may be on the interstate, so scooters might think twice. Other than that, if the state says your vehicle is road worthy, bring it out, show it off, raise awareness for your club or organization.
Don't want to ride in the Poker Run? No problem. Come out and join us with the kids, they will love to see all the cars, trucks and bikes. If you aren't riding, there is no cost to walk the grounds and be a spectator.
WE WILL HAVE VENDORS, FOOD, 50/50 RAFFLE, DOOR PRIZES, AND MORE.
OFFICIAL "WORLD'S LARGEST POKER RUN" T-SHIRTS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE AT THE CIVIC CENTER for $15.00. This is the one and only time these shirts will be available. After this day, you wont be able to get one of these.
THIS IS ONCE IN A LIFETIME EVENT SO COME BE A PART OF IT AND HELP SET A NEW WORLD RECORD. We will have local and national media coverage for this event. It WILL go into the Guinness Book of World Records.
