It's been awfully quiet here the last few days. I've been having to work instead of goofing off on here.
What's everyone been doing with the spring weather the last few days?

Well I made it through another week of work without getting "laid off" so I have been laying low and saving money for the almost inevitable.
I never thought after 22 years with a very healthy company that i would be worried about my job, oh well I guess I could take all of my many years of mechanical experience and go to work in a jiffy lube!
This economy SUCKS!

I've been working on another project of mine, depressed the jeep isn't running... Hosed it the mud off of it, and going to pull motor this weekend if it doesn't snow... If it does, I'll be in the garage working on Mine/My Dad's 1962 Galaxie project referenced above... I seriously think for once I have tooooo many play toys. 5 Projects.... and to think that's slimmed down from 8 just a year ago!

Well, while we were messing with the carburetor on the trail, my voltmeter stopped working. I was taking a look at the battery and some wires that were around and i felt this hard wire like cable. It was brittle from the mud drying on it and i snapped it just trying to move it with one hand. Found out very quickly that was my oil pressure gauge line. So I'm replacing that and changing the oil, the plugs and possible fuel filter. If the wife lets me...maybe a new Holly 4B carburetor:wings:

CJs have notorious wiring problems, especially if it is still the original or been "adjusted" by the previous owner. I would recommend going with mechanical guages. You can get a set at AAP for $40ish dollars. I put mech oil and temp guages in and haven't looked back.

Painless Wireing Harness and Unknown aftermarket oil pressure and voltmeter. Water temp and gas guage need tweeking though. neither work with a new speedometer. Previous owner suggested it's in the wiring not the sensors.
Any suggestions/tips/tricks before replacing this oil pressure line? the replacement line is nylon with brass fittings from Advanced. I plan on changing the oil at the time of the install. It needs to be done but I need to remove the oil filter to access the line going into the oil pan. Seems simple...usually turns out not. Haha.
(Mr. Moderator Sir, please dont hurt me for asking such a question in General Chat):D

I've been sitting in a haze, trying to let it sink in that I'm finally getting a lift on this weekend.
Actually I think that haze is from PB Blaster inhalation.

Work was actually busy for the first time in 2 months and more to come. Been getting alot done around the house and getting everything in line for new toy. As you heard traded my beloved XJ for Sam's 2500 chevy. Went through it and fixed alot of little things. Went to BFE and bought a trailer. Spent last Sat riding around with the doors off, went to the car show and just hanging out with Kay. Going up north at 6am this friday morning to get the new Scrambler/hacked up juggy thing. . . . aka Lucky:thumb:
