Hello to everyone again. My name is Derek. I've lived in Roanoke for 3 years now. I'm married, no kids yet (too scary a thought at the moment). In my spare time I enjoy lifting weights - more strength training than bodybuilding. Now...on to something that doesn't make this sound like match.com...

I've always been interested in wheeling and used to ride along with my Granddad and Dad on hunting trips when I was a kid (getting there was always more fun for me).

I caught the Jeep bug around the age of 16 - 17 when a couple of people let me drive their Wranglers - then I drove my uncle's with the doors off and that was it - I was hooked.

I've had a '92 S-10 and a '95 S-10, both 2WD, but they had pretty good ground clearance, so yeah...I wheeled 'em wherever I could.

Traded the '95 for a 2006 TJ back in April '07. It was 4 cyl., but I couldn't pass up the deal at the time. After about a year of owning it, I realized I would never be truly happy with it, so I searched and finally found another 2006 black manual TJ down in Hickory, NC. Ate 3 grand to get it, and that was the start of the "every pocket" phrase for me.

Right now I've got it sitting on 31" AT's, and I'm saving and collecting parts for my build.

I've got:
2.5 OME HD coils and shocks
Currie front adj. trackbar
Rokmen adj. front lowers
JKS adj. upper rears
Rokmen belly-up skid
S35 with Detroit and 4.56 gears

I'm going to add to that list as I can - I've got a few more pieces of armor I want to add, a body lift and MML, and a little bit of work on both axles, then after I sell my soul to afford 33's, I should be good to go. lol

Soon - very soon...lol!

All I lack as far as bare essentials are concerned is wheels, tires, and the axle work. I guess some *could* argue that the axles aren't essential, but I don't want to run 33's on 3.07's any longer than I have to!!!

I'll post a pic of the old stocker, but I'll have to crawl under my house to get a shot of the parts I'm collecting...lol.

My wife says it looks like a Jeep exploded under there...she's right.

I don't have any pictures of my Jeep on this computer, but I do have this one of the 4 cyl. The only differences other than engine are full hard doors, the X sticker, and those stupid tube steps that I can't wait to get rid of.

EDIT: I lied - if I would have looked 3 more seconds I would have noticed my Jeep in my photobucket account.
