lignite mines is not open right now.the part where all the mud is,is closed because of what happened with the 39 wheelers.i highly suggest not going there or you could face fines and more.it was covered at the meeting at gander mountain

Folks, dont hold your breath on this one... From what I heard during the closure for the burn, off-roaders still got in there and messed up some stuff. Damage was done and will not open till its fixed which maybe later this summer.
You know, I would really like to find the group that is doing this crap because they are really making it hard for the respectable wheelers. There is suspicion that its some of the same that damaged Patterson Creek, but only the law enforcement folks knows for sure.

But there is good news, there are plans for some new trails...

i came down from the top of the mountain and there was no signs of damage in that way.. at the gate its a drop off on both sides.. so it must been in from the other side..the mountain road is pretty rough, from all the rain its washed out...
