Yep, that's the truck. Not much work has been done to it. I gave it to my dad to drive around. There wasn't anything wrong with the tranny that we can find. The noise/driveline problem was a busted passenger side hub. Only other problem was when stepping on the brake pedal all lights come one, and I mean all; radio, dash, parking lights, reverse lights, headlights, dome light, etc...
$200 for the truck and $140 for tune-up parts and battery. Not too bad.

I was going through old pictures. Found the old XJ I built. My wife named her Scarlet since I spent more time with it than her. She went up Lower 2, down upper 2, Helicopter pad and guardrail at tellico. Also was the first XJ to run ET (trail 11, I think) at Big Dogs. Clayton did have to do a little rock rail surfing to keep her upright.
Ran 35s on dana 30 front with TruTrac, Dana 44 with detriot. 4.56 gears, Tera 2-low and LOTS of armor. Even made a set of customer rear quarter panel guards before the were "in the mainstream". Clayton long arms with around 8" of lift. She was a beast, but I sold her. Unibody just won't hold up to long term wheeling.

Yep:2thumbsup: She was mine. Bought her in '98 when I entered the real world. Built her with my own two hands. Only thing I didn't do was weld the Clayton cross member.
I haven't thought about the Cecil Guard (http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Body/CecilGuard.htm) in quite some time.
I sold her to a guy that worked at Yokohoma tire back in 2003 or 2004, I can't remember. He sold her to a guy or girl that worked at the Advance Auto in Vinton. I haven't seen the Jeep since they sold it. Last time I heard of it, she was in Harrisonburg.
I like those wheels. I had them made by Stockton Wheel in CA. They were 8" with 4.5" BS. I think they are still here in Roanoke somewhere. The gentleman thought bought her from me sold the KMs and wheels to a younger buck that lived off of Chaparel near CSHS.
I think I have a video of me going up Guardrail. I'll see if I can find that this weekend and post it.

Pictures of the $200 Truck. I think we have $700 in her now. I gave it to my dad as a beater until my son gets old enough to start driving it.
