Thought I'd ask in case some thing comes up and we miss Crozet that weekend.

You have always had to be street legal for Potts. Its a FS road. Tags, inspection etc. Everything you need to drive ont he road.

Thanks Matt yeah thats what I thought but until recently I 've always wheeled a street and trail rig. If I make it I just run the blue Scrambler. :driving:

Haven't met anyone from the site except RUKered in person yet so I would definitely like to try to make this run as well. I've got it penciled in on the calendar. I will likely pack to camp and make it a game time decision once we get there. Looking forward to meeting some of ya'll finally. :driving:

My son and I are planning on making it as a day trip, coming back that night. I'm not a member of the club yet, but would like to take care of that very soon.
I do have an outlet were I could disperse some stickers for you. I manage a restaurant here in Roanoke and can make arrangements for some members to get the stickers from me while I'm working.

hey man no problem on the stickers and i hope you get the cb worked out. potts might be a bit much for you. On 31's a/t's you are gonna get some damage. Im not saying it cant be done but be prepared if you go to run into somehting. Potts scared me so bad back in the day i wouldnt runit on 32's lol. Your welcome to give it a shot though. If you got to somethign to hard you could always jsut turn around.

Part of the first obstacle ( across from Poser or Kidney rock), the fun part will be getting to where the Sammy is sitting except coming from the other direction..:D

The plan is to be there and camp for the night. Things could change but hopefully not. Can anybody tell me where everyone is meeting on Saturday morning? Is it Burger King at 9am, if so which BK or where is the New Castle Ranger Station?

the official meeting place is the rangers station at 10, or bk in salem at 9. If you want to organize another meeting place, i'd recommend doing so at 9, so you can be at the ranger station at 10.

Ultimately everyone will meet at the Ranger station, the plan is to leave out @ 10:00 from there, but we never seem to depart on time, but I would get there a little before 10. Some will meet at 9 at the BK on 419 then head up to meet the rest of the group.
Trailers and tow vehicles can be left at the Ranger Station. We have some real nice prizes for the raffle and you must be present to win...

Prizes are open to all that attend and stay. The Meet-in-the-Middle is an open invitation to all clubs, groups, and individuals with no club affiliation to meet others that share the same hobby. SWVa4W is just he club sponsoring the event. Some will start at the top and others will start at the bottom and we will all meet in the middle... ( at the field)

So guys come on out, play on the new areas, challenge your rig on the "Ledge" and have a good time! :wings:

when you say salem burger king i think of the one on west main street salem. Whne you say 419 i think of the burger king across the street from thejeep dealership. Which one?

I dont know zip about Salem, but its the Burger King/gas station at 419/I 81. I think there is a dealership across the road... From 81 its on the Right..

Dealer is Pinkerton Chevrolet. I might try to be at the BK just to meet some people but I won't be going over the mountain. If I don't come to meet then everyone have a safe and fun time :2thumbsup:

Never done this trail all the way thru before. Should be a great new experience for us.
