Its been doing it for a while but i feel like i should fix it before i lift it so i can make sure everything is ok. When i brake going down the highway whether its hard or fast i get the left to right chug chug in the wheel but i have brand new rotors, could i have warped one already? im all out of ideas. Sean was the one that replaced the rotors so i knwo they are new what else would cause a vibration ONLY when braking?:fingerscrossed:

Are the wheels torqued properly? I'd still lean towards a warped rotor though. Yes it is possible to warp one quickly. Do you have a sticking caliper that is causing heat build up?

thats a good question there was alot of trash in the brake lines. I think sean had to bleed them like 3 times. Well its a cheap fix i guess its jsut one sode as far as i can tell. Ill change it out this week some tiems let you guys know what i come up with.

Matt
We put pads, rotors, and a master cylinder on the purple XJ to get you stopping again.
Everything was bench and vac bled in the process.
I use torque sticks to install wheels after any repair so I know they are torqued evenly.
You had more work done after I couldn't get to. . . for that I'm sorry.

Bring it by I wanna look it over.

I spent 10 years as an ASE tech this is a matter of pride for me.

I have had issues on my red 96 with the front brake pads (inners) cracking in half. That was the "Wearever" brand, I switched back to a better quality and the issue has stopped. I would normally blame this on the slides/guides on the knuckle but they are in good shape so since the issue stopped with better quality pads I'll blame it on that.

This caused similar symptoms as what you are having.

Agreed with Jon, I've hd several sets of cheap brakes mainly the Wearever silvers crack & fail very early on, cause alot of vibration simlar to a warped rotor. Go with Wagners or a compairable brand.
