Well, i go ahead and start the post for ken...:2thumbsup:

Heres what we have at this point...

ken was up on potts mountain and the truck pretty much came apart, the lift blocks busted, u-bolts bent, and the axle was under the gas tank on the pass. side.. he had to leave the truck on the mountain that night..

well, myself and jamie was able to get it fixed enough to get it off the mountain the next day..

ken and i talked, and this is what we decided to do to the runner at this point..

solid axle swap on the front with 4" all pro springs, with the added full high steer kit from all pro too.. the rear im not totally for sure what we are goin to do on it but it will be right..
i believe im taking the 3" body out and cutting them down to a 1" lift..
goin to swap out the old rotors and brakes with the ifs brakes..
the rear i beleive we are goin to put in a locker but havent made it to tht stage yet..
heres some pics of the stuff i have so far..

for some reason i can upload the pics.. will try later..

What did you come up with for the driveshaft?

the front or rear? the rear i had to go and buy a used one from a buddy down the road.. when the blocks was broke in the rear on the mountain, it broke the ujoint and bent the ears on the shaft...
the front was clearanced lil bit.. it was easy to do...:2thumbsup:

yeah it does great!! it was at full droop in the pic of the creek bed... awesome place for flex in my back yard:harhar:
goin to need the tires balanced and will see what ken thinks about taking the body lift out sometime..

im friends with a few state troopers and go passed there office everyday.. driving it tomorrow and goin to stop by there and let them look at it and make sure everything is good with them.. i do that with all trucks i do...:yup:

It will look even better when the body lift comes off:2thumbsup:

I have seen somewhere, a johnny type joint that replaces the spring eye bushings to take the bind out of the spring eyes when at full droop or compression...., maybe All Pro has them???

well, im sure theres goin to be more to come on it, everything was done on a budget to get it done with.. didnt havet to buy a lot of parts, most of the parts and stuff i had off all the show truck stuff i had laying around so i gave it some go use.. and none of it was hurt...

Curious what type of springs did you use?

Curious what type of springs did you use?

we went with all pro in the front and i believe the rear was superlifts that had been painted...

you was talking out the front being wider than the rear.. on this one the axles are the same width...

only thing i would do is go with a 10 inch set of wheels sometime... i like a lil better track width than the 8's

Keep the 8" of the rim and get one with less backspacing. A 10" wide rim will expose the lip to rock damage.

Went to Broad Run today just to put it through some minor testing. The work that Chris did was great, but there's a possibility that I did some damage to the transfer case internals at the time it originally broke down. I'm going to get it to him down the road to check that for me.

I didn't really get the chance to test the rockers.....rode the river bed for a little bit between crossings, and it handled great. Then I tried to get it out of 4WD, that's when the problem started with the transfer case. So from that point, I just unlocked the hubs and ran in 2wd the rest of the day. Still a fun day, glad to get back into the mountains.

Well now that is just an excuse to go with a new 4:1 low range gear set in the X case......or a doubler:yup:
