That's right it's hers! Picked it up off c-list purdy cheap. About $17,500 cheaper than the original window sticker I found in the glove box!:yup: There was also numerous receipts where the original owners had it detailed weekly! Unibody is in solid condition, same as interior. The tires and wheels alone are worth more than we paid for the whole jeep. Has 4.0 I6, commandtrac? w/power/comfort switch.Pics to come soon...

uh huh....you have two, next thing you know, you'll have four and so it goes...
you wake up one day and realize you own 10 vehicles...
congrats on the find...love finding dirt cheap vehicles...\
Just a word of advice. Get a bill of sale from the seller if you plan on registering it. Otherwise the DMV will charge you tax on the NADA value, not on the purchase price.

I saw this one sitting in your driveway Friday, looked like you were working on the front axle or brakes. Is this the one you are swapping the knuckles on?

Yeah, but I didn't have to switch the knuckle. Advance offers a complete hub assembly replacement. It bolted right up no prob. I had to put a new rotor and shoes on that side too(pass) where the wheel was rolling at either like a 80 or 100 degree angle depending on which way you were turning :D I pulled the other wheels and discovered brand new brakes everywhere else. It's hard to tell how long the kid had been driving it like that. Luckily everything else wasn't hurt that bad. The axle-shaft output knuckle received a couple good scores, but no other serious carnage. Will have to get an alignment, no biggie. Sorry no pics up yet, camera died.

IIRC, didn't some 87's have a d44 out back?

I forgot to mention that the rear end has a detroit locker and lower gears already installed. My plan is to eventually put that under mine and swap in my old 8.25 to hers.:thumb: But for now the main thing is getting a set of good springs and shocks on this thing.

The font springs are going on mine and my 3" coils will go on hers along with the 3.5" leaves off the donor jeep. She will have a 3" all sring lift which will make daily driving a lttle smoother. I'm putting the shocks from my first lift on hers too, they were only on mine for about 8 months and are for a 3" lift. I'm robbiing the RE articulating arms and the Rancho shocks off the donor. There is also a heavy duty RE tie rod on there. The wheels are going on mine too.

I finally got the lift on, but with the same 30 inch tires it doesn't look like 3" yet. A set of 31's will go on there next year. But it definately rides 100% better and doesn't "rub" at all :D She's not satisfied yet, but neither am I. I have to change the fuel send and probably the t-stat. I'm tryin to convince her to roll the whole thing in herc. :yup:

I like it:thumb: XJ's should have come from the factory w/3"lift and a SYE and they would have been the perfect factory wheeler.

That will look horrible and you'll have a hard time keeping it clean.
Other than that looks good.

X whatever on the bedliner crap, just ask Fitch about how hard it is to keep clean. It looks great new and it will protect the body somewhat but just looks terrible as time goes on.

If you spray the herc with high temp engine paint it will be protected from the uv rays and hey you can always "touch up" as needed.:thumb: Still it's doubtful she'll go for it.
