Has anyone gotten PMs concerning someone finding a virus on you computer and asking you to go to a website?

ive gotten several. anything from prescription drugs online to virus website crap...

I have gotten several, i just deleted them. DO NOT click on those links! I'm no computer expert but I would bet the link will give you a virus of some sort.

I've had a couple of them. I think there is one on my PM now, I just noticed a notification..................Yep it was one.

Ive gotten several as well I just delete them. Last one I saw a moderator had already banned them.

I have had 2 this week. I guess with spam blockers on email now they are coming to message boards. Now we need a spam blocker for pm's. haha

We have banned alot of them. We have also closed open enrollment so all applications now have to be approved. That should kill the spam. Closed enrollment really is the only REAL safe way to do it. And i promise you guys VBULL is the best Forum software money can buy. Please be patient.:drunkbuds:

That is a step in the right direction, the spammers were getting ridiculous on here. Glad they are gone now:wings:

ok let me give you guys an update on this. We know have COPPA in short that means youhave to select your at least 13 to join plus recaptcha plus email notification. And i also "pruned" all users that have not posted at all ever.. So if thats you youll need to re register and say hello in the new members area.
