Most of you have probably seen this on RCPFA, but Chris Packard finished up my cage for me yesterday. I figured I would start the build thread here. I'll catch up all of the other details later...

"The Wrangler – a stumpy, clumsy, body-on-frame clodhopper,
as hopelessly out of date as it is unbeatable off-road."
yeah i love that cage, theres another one online that has the same type of cage, but with kids i can only wish to have one like that...
97 TJ, custom long arm, 4 link rear, 6in rubi lift, custom tube fenders crusher corners, custom cage, 35 bfgs, detroit rear

Same basic design, but built with kids in mind.
Rear suspension seat, four point kids harnesses.
Chris can build a cage to fit your needs.

Yup, just talk to Chris and he will put a design together to fit your needs. I haven't had the back seat in the TJ for the last 5 years or so. I asked for a fastback style since I wasn't worried about the rear. I'm just going to put some added anchor points in the bed to tie down tool boxes, etc...
Cage looks good Bobby. Great work from Packard as usual.
Are you gonna be able to put your doors back on with the door bars? It looks like it will fit from the pics.

Sean,
the doors won't fit as the door bars come out a little past the body to keep to from getting hung up on rocks, etc... Should help it slide past obstacles a little better.
The cage looks damn good Bobby! A set of full soft doors with a lil modification might get you covered for inclimate weather. In the mean time my friend it's summer just go wheel it.![]()
