    Default Bobcat Caution

We got a heads up that the guy who now owns Bobcat plans to develop it. Be on the look out for guys on Utes in the area if you go. He said he plans on putting up gates and putting a stop to us riding in there. Just thought I'd let you guys know before someone was in trouble with the law for trespassing or something. Bad news all around, but there doesn't seem to be anything to do but accept it and try to show our good nature by not causing problems. I know I'll sorely miss the trail.

Well that sucks! Another good trail is taken from us. I'm glad I got to run it a few times last year and this year.

Potts is our only local option now, or travel to far away places.

I thought that only a portion of the trail was on private property.

what end is he going to develop? the side closer to campus that already has some houses going up or the entire thing? i would think the more "fun" sections for us would be hard to develop on. either way that sucks cause bobcat was always a fun ride.

This really sucks! I knew it would only be a matter of time, but still...

Yes, only the lower portion by the coal hill is private, the top is national forest. The problem I can see now is the only "exits" are through private land, and I could see the USFS closing the top trail since there would be more 2 way "traffic" that would be more likely to cause trail damage, stuckage, etc...

This STINKS!!!! I liked that trail!

If anybody in the area has more info please post it up.
Can we speak with the developer about trying to keep access to certain sections?

    Thanks

The part of the trail that runs from Coal Hill to the top of the mountain has been purchased. Nat'l Forrest land starts right at the top of the mountain where you take a right turn and start down towards the mud holes.
