May have to check this out. Always nice to go on a cruise through the woods.
Going to Peaks of Otter this Saturday and the kids have asked if we can go for a ride up a mountain on the way home. Going in from Buchanan across to 460. They like the easy stuff more so then the OVH trails. They are into it mostly for the views and sights and little fear of hang ups. This seems like a good fit. I have recently moved up from NC and have not been on this road. Will be solo in a stock 06 4runner with BFG AT KOs. Seems most say its a fun easy ride for stockers. Anyone have more feedback, advise or been up there in the last week or two that can account for the roads condition? Wet Dry any creeks that my be an issue after rain or deep mud holes to look out for.
Thanks
Jon
You'll be fine. If you go after a rain, like it has been, it will be pretty rutted out in places and have a few muddy crossings from standing water, but a stock vehicle with an intelligent and patient driver shouldn't have any issues. Just take your time. I don't know where the OP got anything about it being a 2-3 hour trail. 1 at the very most.Going to Peaks of Otter this Saturday and the kids have asked if we can go for a ride up a mountain on the way home.
