hello been jeep fan for some time and had a few but finally got my hands on 78
cj with 304 and 33's looking to make new friends, do some trail crawlin and have ?'s on setting up jeep to pass inspection so i can at least drive it with out antique tags

well is there a way i can still run my 33 with out spacers (which i hear wont pass inspection) besides swapping out axle (i have 4" longer dana axle in the plans but it hasnt made it yet) and i want to redo springs and shackles (if u seen it u wood know y) but we cant figure out what size leafs i would need to keep same ride height but with stock shackles unless the custome made shackles i have already would pass im sure ur confused now..its one of those things u wood have to see to understand lol

I assume "spacers" refer to wheel spacers. Why are you running spacers? Do they rub without the spacers?

when my cousin had the jeep he said he put them on becuase they would rub on the trail yes they are two inch wheel spacers...i believe i could run with out them on street(with about inch of space between tire and frame) but may be issue on trail not sure i personally havent driven this jeep over the rocks yet....im wondering is any one else with cj7's and 33x12.50have a better set up

You'll have to buy new wheels with less backspacing...or look for WT axles
